Q&A blog post #19

Hi everyone... I am back. It has been awhile and quite a lot has happened since I last wrote. I took a brief hiatus from blogging and switched over to writing shitty notes app poetry lol. I am coming up on a year since I've started my blog and a lot of things have changed but a lot of things have remained the same. I am still a girl who longs for love, has an unhealthy obsession with her cat and a slight codependency on weed. Anyways I wanted to come back in full force with a Q+A to share my all knowing wisdom.....

Q: How do you grapple with having so many thoughts at once?

A: This is something I struggle with constantly- It's a learning process for sure. I have OCD and anxiety so my brain feels overwhelmed most of the time but I have learned ways to cope. A way for me to get my thoughts out and center myself a little more is by taking that anxious energy and putting it into something else like my art, journaling, yoga and/or dancing around my apartment. It is super hard feeling like you can't make your brain shut up for 5 minutes. I hear you and I get it. Be gentle with yourself and remember your thoughts are just thoughts: don't make them more significant than they need to be and focus on what is right in front of you. The now is more powerful than you know.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time?

A: I LOVE FREETIME. I wish I had more I am constantly working and I don't do as much chilling as I would like. I like to think that I am working super hard now so I can endlessly chill forever. butt I spend my free time laughing and loving with my friends and aimlessly walking around. I love a good aimless walk with no destination. It forces you to be present and aware of your surroundings especially here in New York. There is so much to see and so many great wonderful people to meet. So yea in conclusion if I had more free time I would just walk for hours.

Q: What skill would you like to master?

A: Painting for sure. It is something I really enjoy doing and it gets me out of my head.. A place I am in often. I am still learning so I am in no means where I want to be yet but I see myself improving each day and I am excited to keep learning.. Learning is hella underrated. I love not knowing things because that means I can learn even more things guys!!! YAY #Normalizenotknowingthings

Q: How do you find your eye for unique beauty in styles of writing, photography and style?

A: I would say by doing! We learn so much by doing. I believe the more you go with your intuition and learn to like what you like - not just what is trending that is when you can find your unique style. Good luck and try to find the beauty in everything. It is there if you look for it.

Q: Style Icon/Biggest Fashion inspiration?

A: At the moment I haven't really found myself looking to any one in particular when it comes to style. Is it narcissistic to say myself? I wear what I like because I like it and I wear what makes me feel good. I can tell you what I have been loving recently though... I have been loving knee high socks, stripes ,colorful mini skirts, capri style pants, rouched sleeves and anything with an empire waist. ><

Q: Do you believe in love? Have you ever been in love?

A: I always get this question hehe. I guess I just give off that hopeless romantic vibe.. LOL. I love love in its all forms.. I have been in love once in my life.. I had a serious boyfriend in high school.. Although it wasn't my ideal form of love and what I think it should look like- it was what 16 year old Sydney thought love was at the time.. It wasn't the healthiest. We broke up a ton and go back together a ton. When I think back there was a lot of mistreatment but we were young and immature so I don't blame anyone..but I don't think I will experience love or being in love for a while. I mean ya never really know but I haven't been the most lucky. No man is ready for me I have concluded. Most are too immature and don't know how to act in a relationship nor are they even ready for the possibility of one. I digress. I believe in love like I believe in fairies. Yet to be seen but I do think they exist.

Q: Fav Sofia Coppola Movie

A: Virgin Suicides... DUHH!!!

Q: Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

A: An introverted extrovert dare I say it or the other way around? Hahah. I am very outgoing and I could talk to a brick wall for hours on end but I get drained by others very easily and need time alone to recharge. I love being alone. No one gets me like ME.

Q: Favorite books as of recently?

A: Hmm..Two of my favorites recently have to be "Wabi-Sabi; For artists, designers, poets and philosophers" and 'The power of now"... Go Read. it is food 4 the soul

Q: How did you start your artist journey?

A: I believe I have been on this journey since I was a kid. I was always creative in all forms of life whether It was dancing, making up songs or doing my friends makeup. Although in my younger years it came to a halt due to not having many creative friends along with bullying I experienced for simply just being myself. It wasn't until covid I felt I truly connected with my inner artist again. I started my brand during that time and met a ton of other creatives through that. Then I met my dear friend Ellie and she brought out the true artist in me I believe you need others to foster your creative relationship with yourself to be confident in your work. You need encouragement and support when you feel like you work is bad or not good enough...., while good is a subjective concept and a myth in itself - having other artists support you can help you look at things objectively which ultimately can propel you forward and foster your confidence on your journey as an artist. I am still on this journey but I have way more security in myself thanks to all my fellow creatives who have provided me support and kindness. I hope I return the favor to all the creatives in my life.

Q: If you could be any tree, what kind would you be and why?

A: This is a great question. I would be a willow tree - Willow trees symbolize new life and how it can grow even in the most challenging conditions. I think that's a beautiful sentiment and I hope I can be like a willow tree and find an opportunity to grow even in the toughest times of my life. Also its called a weeping willow. I love to weep and cry and feel so I think that represents me all too well.

OKieee I love you guys- I am excited to let everyone back into my inner world again. Remember I know some things but mostly nothing- "WINK"

I just winked at you I hope you find that cute and endearing because it is.

LOL - LOTS OF LOVE
